Kara Jones is the Director of Innovation Programs and Engagement at GENIUS NY, the world’s largest business accelerator for uncrewed systems and robotics. Five finalists are selected for the GENIUS NY each year, and are awarded a large investment; one grand prize winner receives $1 million, followed by four $500,000 investments to the remaining teams. To date, the accelerator has invested more than $18M in 32 companies, who have gone on to raise more than $100M in follow-on funding.
Jones has over ten years’ experience in the innovation and entrepreneurial space focused on helping companies go-to-market and fundraise. She previously worked as the Director of Communications at The Tech Garden, Syracuse’s premier tech incubator with more than 100 startups.
