Tere earned her B.S. in Biological Sciences from Virginia Tech in 2012 and conducted her thesis research at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine while participating in writing and consulting internships in 2019. A serial entrepreneur, Tere launched SIMON|PETRk Co. during the pandemic as the importance of scientific communication to communities of color became overwhelmingly evident. Tere is co-Founder/CEO of DUB Therapeutics—an academic spinout of SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. As CEO, Tere has helped bring in close to $2,000,000 (USD) to further develop the anti-fibrotic siRNA technology. Tere’s greater vision focuses on improving health, wealth, and wellness within BIPOC communities through education.
